Instructions for SiteMaster version 3.161 Update:

Make sure that SITEMASTER 200® is not running.

Note: For the Multi-User version, see the additional instructions below. Additionally,
this version can be used with the auto-update feature if you currently have version 3.16.

Single User Version:

1. This update patch is for SITEMASTER 200® programs with version numbers of 3.00 to
3.16. This update will not work for any other versions.

2. Save and make a copy of your current SiteMaster data folder(s) (Data Set(s)) 
that's on your hard drive. The default data sets are Livedata and Demodata but you 
may have created other ones. Place the copied data sets in a different location on 
your hard drive. This is to protect your data if something goes wrong.

3. Click on the "Update to v.3.161" link.

4. A File Download window will open. Click on the Save button.

5. A Save As window will open. Select a location where you want to put the update. 

6. Click on the Save button to download.

7. The download installed a SM2003_161.zip file at the specified location.

8. Go to the location and unzip/extract the SM2003_161.zip file.

9. There is now a SM2003_161 folder.

Note: If you already have version 3.16 and want to use the Auto-Update feature then 
skip Step 10 and go to Step 11.

10. Copy the two files inside the SM2003_161 folder and paste them into the "SITEMASTER 
200® v.3.0" folder on your hard drive (i.e., C:\Program Files\Ingersoll-Rand or Schlage 
Lock Company\SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0). When asked if you want to replace the file(s), click Yes.

11. For Auto-Update Only - Only copy the sm2003161.exe file and put it into the update 
folder that you added on the server or created locally. On the workstation, the Select 
Upgrade Location path under the Utilities menu must be pointing to this folder.

You may throw away the SM2003_161 folder that you downloaded.


To Update the Help Manual to version 3.16:

1. Click on the "Update Help Manual to v.3.16" link.

2. A File Download window will open. Click on the Save button.

3. A Save As window will open. Locate and select the "SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0" folder 
on your hard drive. The default location path used by the installer was C:\Program 
Files\Ingersoll-Rand or Schlage Lock Company\SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0, but the program 
may have been installed in a different location. Click on the Save button.

4. The download will begin. This installs a HelpSM3.zip file inside the
SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0 folder.

5. Open the SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0 folder using Windows Explorer. Double-click on the 
HelpSM3.zip file that was installed and Unzip/Extract the file.

6. When asked if you want to replace the HelpSM3 file, click Yes. The Help Manual is 
updated.


Additional Instructions for Multi-User:

NOTE: This new version now includes an Auto-Updater feature that you may use for our next
new update (i.e., ver. 3.17). Go to Support Documents and download the AutoUpdater.pdf.

1. Save and make a copy of your current SITEMASTER 200® data folder(s) (Data Set(s)) 
that's on the server. Place the copied data set(s) in a different location. The 
default data sets are Livedata and Demodata but you may have created other ones. 
This is to protect your data if something goes wrong.

2. Stop all Users from accessing the SiteMaster Data Set(s) on the server.

3. For each User (workstation), follow the steps 3 to 11 above for Single User to 
update SiteMaster locally on each workstation.

4. From just one of the workstations run SiteMaster. When the program connects to 
the data set on the server, the data files will be updated for the new version. 
If you are using multiple Data Sets, then do this for each one.

5. Now, all users are updated and may run the program.
