Instructions for SiteMaster version 3.15 Update: Note: For the Multi-User version, see the additional instructions below. Single User Version: 1. This update patch is for SiteMaster 200 programs with version numbers of 3.00 to 3.14. This update will not work for any other versions. 2. Save and make a copy of your current SiteMaster data folder(s) (Data Set(s)) that's on your hard drive. The default data sets are Livedata and Demodata but you may have created other ones. Place the copied data sets in a different location on your hard drive. This is to protect your data if something goes wrong. 3. Click on the "Update to v.3.15" link. 4. A File Download window will open. Click on the Save button. 5. A Save As window will open. Locate and select the "SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0" folder on your hard drive. The default location path used by the installer was C:\Program Files\Ingersoll-Rand or Schlage Lock Company\SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0, but the program may have been installed in a different location. Click on the Save button. 6. The download will begin. When asked if you want to replace the file, click Yes. To Update the Help Manual to version 3.15: 1. Click on the "Update Help Manual to v.3.15" link. 2. A File Download window will open. Click on the Save button. 3. A Save As window will open. Locate and select the "SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0" folder on your hard drive. The default location path used by the installer was C:\Program Files\Ingersoll-Rand or Schlage Lock Company\SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0, but the program may have been installed in a different location. Click on the Save button. 4. The download will begin. This installs a HelpSM3 self-extracting zip file inside the SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0 folder. 5. Open the SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0 folder using Windows Explorer. Double-click on the HelpSM3 zip file that was installed. When asked if you want to run this software, click on the Run button. This installs a SM200 Help Manual folder inside the SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0 folder. 6. Open the SM200 Help Manual folder and then copy and paste the HelpSM3 file into the "SITEMASTER 200® v.3.0" folder. When asked if want to replace the file, click on the Yes button. The manual is updated. Additional Instructions for Multi-User: 1. Save and make a copy of your current Sitemaster 200 data folder(s) (Data Set(s)) that's on the server. Place the copied data set(s) in a different location. The default data sets are Livedata and Demodata but you may have created other ones. This is to protect your data if something goes wrong. 2. Stop all Users from accessing the SiteMaster Data Set(s) on the server. 3. For each User (workstation), follow the steps 3 to 6 above for Single User to update SiteMaster locally on each workstation. 4. From just one of the workstations run SiteMaster. When the program connects to the data set on the server, the data files will be updated for the new version. If you are using multiple Data Sets, then do this for each one. 5. Now, all users are updated and may run the program.
